Finding a place to play, however, was not easy. On the advice of his friend Rijo, he approached the St. Andrews Play Association, which had a small turf ground on Walnut Street in Leicester. Once permission was granted, Binomon gathered a few friends — Sujith, Alex, Kunjimon, Boby, and Vesly — and started playing casual matches for fun.

Ajeesh played a key role in supporting this vision by offering valuable advice and thoughtful suggestions. Over time, more people joined after seeing the group play, inspired by their energy, teamwork, and love for the sport. As new players joined and skills steadily improved, the group evolved into a professional cricket club. Following the team plan, Benoy and Sherin designed the club's jerseys, and we proudly launched our first official team jersey on 26 September 2024, marking a major milestone in our journey.

Our first annual meeting, held on 10 December 2024, brought together more than 40 enthusiastic members and was a resounding success, reflecting the unity and growth of our cricketing family.

In August 2025, Leicester Heroes Cricket Club made its tournament debut under Captain Darish and Vice-Captain Ricson, reaching the quarter-finals — an impressive achievement for our first official competition. Later that year, on 13th September 2025, we proudly hosted our first cricket tournament in association with LKC, featuring eight teams from across the UK. The event was a tremendous success, earning appreciation from participants and spectators alike. We were thrilled to finish as runners-up, a testament to our teamwork, talent, and determination.

Though our journey has just begun, we are immensely proud of how far we've come. From a small turf ground to competing in tournaments across the UK, Leicester Heroes Cricket Club continues to grow with the same passion, friendship, and love for cricket that started it all.
